Searching for the immigration info for James Samuel Oscroft.
I have b. Newport, Monmouthshire, UK 1845 to Edmund Oscroft and Jemima Roberts, m. 1880 Deniliquin (or Campbelltown) NSW to Margaret Caroline Basstian, d. Rookwood, Sydney, NSW 1903.

It appears that his father died in the UK sometime after 1881 census so he immigrated alone most likely. (??) I have searched NSW, Q, Vict, Tas, and SA ship lists with no success... (but I am an amateur)
