Hello -

I'm not sure what information I should include as I am new to this, however I am looking for information on my grandfather, JAMES RUSSELL ROGERS.

What I *do* know is he was born in 1913 in Perth. He joined the Army and was discharged in 1945 as a corporal.

He married Marion Flora CRAWFORD (my grandmother) and they had two daughters, Janette Marion and Heather Ann.

At some point (possibly post-traumatic stress disorder) he left my grandmother while my mother was young. Rumour has it that he went to Queensland. My grandmother wore her wedding ring for over fifty years, until the day she died.

I did a search on Ryerson, and came up with the following two obits which I suspect may be the same person and potentially my grandfather based on the dates of death and the fact this individual lived in QLD.

Can anyone assist with any information or point me in the right direction? I now live in the US and it would be a little suspect for me to start asking my maternal family questions. My mother passed away in 1982 so what little I know is information my mother shared with my father before her death.
