This name is listed on my grandfather's(Peter Alexander CAMPBELL) marriage certificate (Melbourne Victoria)as his mother's name.
He was born in Greenock Scotland abt 1885- his father was Archibald Campbell..... but can find NO RECORDS of any of the three.
Grandfather emigrated from Scotland - went first to New Zealand and came to Australia on ship Marama Arriving 2nd April 1909 in Sydney from Auckland as an unassisted passenger- he was a shipwright - had four brothers all in shipbuilding trades of various kinds.
One brother Archibland remained in New Zealand where he married.
Other brothers who lived in Australia were: Dugald, Donald & Harold - all lived in and around Sydney.
I am particularly interested in tracing the McVean family thread - but any information would be welcome.
