My Leslie family research starts with James Johnstone Leslie born 1812 in Kirkpatrick-Fleming Dumfries Scotland, father was John Leslie mother Janet Thompson. James married Ruth Mortimer on 21/12/1840 in St St Andrews Scots Church Sydney NSW. They had 12 children all born in the Sydney Camperdown area of NSW. Children as follows 1 William 2 Ruth 3 Helena 4 Clara Lydia 5 Criffell 6 James 7 Nith 8 Tweed 9 Alice 10 John 11 Orr 12 Mary. These children were born between 1841 and 1865.
