On Thursday last at 9.30. a.m., Mr. Chas. Howard, of Cotta Walla, third son of Mr. John Howard, of Richmond River, was married to Miss Elizabeth Harvey, second daughter of Mr. Chas. Harvey, of Crookwell. The wedding took place at the Methodist Church, Goldsmith Street, Goulburn. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. J. Woodhouse. The bride was attired in her travelling dress, a fawn tailor-made costume with hat to match. The bridesmaid was Miss Molly Harvey, sister of the bride, who was dressed in pale blue voile, with hat to match, and wore a gold brooch, the gift of the bridegroom. Mr. C. Harvey, brother of the bride, acted as best man. At the conclusion on the ceremony the wedding party drove to the Metropolitan Coffee Palace, where the wedding breakfast was served, only the immediate relations of the bride and bridegroom being present. The happy couple left by the 11.20 a.m. train en route for Sydney, where the honeymoon will be spent. The presents were numerous and costly.

OBITUARY MR. CHAS HOWARD, Crookwell. Mr. Charles Howard, who was widely known and respected in Crookwell and district, died on Wednesday night at the age of 60. He had lived in Crookwell all his life, but owned property at The Bland for some time. Always connected with farming and grazing, he took the greatest interest in all matters relating to the land he was one of the first members of the A. P and H. Society, of which he was made a life member only a few months ago, in recognition of years of service. Twice married, his first wife died nearly 30 years ago. Later he married Miss. Harvey, who survives him. Mrs. J. Plumb (Sydney), Mrs. Guildford (Sydney), Mrs. V. Bensley and Mrs. Harries, are the children of the first marriage. Mrs. Walter Kennedy and Messrs. Ted and Arthur Howard, all of Crookwell, are the children of the second family, The late Mr. Howard was a son of Mr. John Howard, of Cotta Walla. Mr. James Howard (Taralga) and Mr. John Howard (Gilgandra) are brothers: Mrs. R. B. Bensley (North Sydney), Mrs. E. C. Bray (Crookwell), and Mrs. Morris (Sydney), are sisters. The funeral was held on Thursday afternoon and was largely attended, members of the Masonic Lodge, of which Mr. Howard was a prominent Members of the Masonic Lodge, of took part in the service at the graveside. DEATH FROM GUNSHOT WOUND.
CROOKWELL, Friday.
Arthur Frederick Howard, 18, died in the Crookwell Cottage Hospital this morning from the effects of a gunshot wound in the lung. Howard, a resident of Crookwell, was fox shooting at Dinner Hill, Peelwood, on Wednesday, when the accident occurred. He was unaware that the gun he was carrying was loaded.
