Looking for info on Michael McGrath from Clonmel, Ireland. He enlisted in 23rd Howitzer Brigade in Perth in 1916, becoming 22529 Gunner Michael McGrath. In 1918 he joined the "suicide club", the trench mortar unit.
He got discharged and was demobilised in London in 1919. He came back to Ireland and joined the IRA, and was illegally executed by the Irish State Army in May, 1923.
Anything further on Michael's time in Australia would be greatly appreciated.
