I believe he is my Grandfather. Donald Lee King is listed on my Father's birth certificate as his Birth Father. My Father was born in Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK on March 31, 1928 and placed for adoption. In 1979 I searched and found his Birth Mother and she flew to Oklahoma for a beautiful reunion. Because of the secrecy back then surrounding adoption, little information was given, however I do know that the last time she saw Donald Lee King was in 1934 in another state. I wish I could find the letter that said what state that was, because I no longer remember. Perhaps Ohio or Iowa? She didn't reveal if she had conceived in Nebraska while she was living with her Aunt and Uncle after her Mother died and was sent back to Okla., or conceived in Oklahoma when she lived in Lawton with her Father. She remained silent about most things, even the fact that she had had a child and placed him for adoption. Her two sons accidently ran across my letters after she died and located me. They did not know about my Father either until they read the letters. I do remember her saying she went to an unwed Mother's Home in Oklahoma City during her pregnancy. I wish I had more information to go on. I have searched off and on for the last 30+ years. My father's birth Mothers name was Amelia Ann Penskofer on the Birth Certificate. I really do appreciate any help and information. My Father has passed away but I continue on the search. Thank you so much.
