Am looking for an Pen Pal that I had in High School. Enclosed is a small picture of her and address on the back is 525 E. Main St., Bellevue, Ohio. We wrote back & forth in our teens and then graduating, getting married, you kinda lose touch. I have gotten a couple bits of info from your site. Thanks! The picture is dated 1954.

Do you recall her last name at all? even a guess?
|
Is the address hand-written? Or is it stamped, i.e., perhaps the photographer's address?
|
I found these little tidbits:
M. G. Seibel, 525 E. Main, Bellevue, against Harold Haynes, Ferndale, Mich., $434.64, [court case] dismissed for want of prosecution. Source: Sandusky Register, Sandusky, Ohio, 14 October 1951
Marian Seibel, 50, 525 E. Main St., Bellevue...attempted to steal a ladies' nightgown...valued at $1.59. Source: Sandusky Register, Sandusky, Ohio, 13 April 1964
Perhaps this was/these are a relative/relatives of Dixie's?
I'll keep looking....

I have no idea, I don't recall her last name at all. The address on the back and date was hand written. I remember her talking about Cuyahoga Falls.

I think I found her name!
There WAS a Dixie Seibel, born c. 1940. See attached article.. Source: Sandusky Register, August 18, 1945

I believe this could be her. The name doesn't sound familiar, but 1940 would be about right. I was born 8 days shy od 1940, so we would be the same age. Thanks a million!!

Her sister, Dianna M. Seibel, married Charles E. Longyear in 1966. Source: Sandusky Register, 1 July 1966
