Often the best place to find where someone was from is to start with where they died. Your family story is waiting to be found. I suggest getting death certificates and obituaries. Both should have parents' names and obit may have exact birthplace and surviving siblings which can be a BIG help. If you know where they married then get their marriage record. If you know what cemetery these people are buried in their headstones should give birth and death dates. If you know what church they were members of or where they are buried check with each to see what may be in their records on them. You might try;; Family Finder at Newspapers are archived on microfilm in public libraries and local historical societies. Go to google newspaper archives. The obits come right after the stock exchange and want ads. If you can visit a Family History Ctr, you can order microfilm from LDS in Salt Lake City. NOTE - There is a 20 yr. gap in the census records [1880 - 1900] as the 1890 census was destroyed by fire. Happy hunting for those lost relatives.
