we are trying to establish the date of death and burial location of all members of the 11th Ohio Cavalry for a regimental history. John R Carnes is listed in the 1890 Census as residing in Jackson Hole, Unitah Co.,Wyoming with a post office address of Rexburg, Idaho. The 11th OVC guarded the Overland Trail in Wyoming during the Civil War. Any information about the individual would be greatly appreciated.
