John has been very hard to trace around, but not as hard as his sister Jeanette. I found her in Iowa in 1915 and then I found her marriage to Alexander Strauss in Ann Arbor Michigan in 1925 as well as I can remember as I dont have my file to hand right this minute. Then she disappears. I did find an Alexander Strauss, divorced, on the 1930 and I think it is him but can't be 100% sure. Back to John, yes, he was sentenced to 10 yr for armed robbery in Salem, but got out early. Actually, in 1933, he was being assessed in a mental hospital and I am not sure what became of him after that. Thanks so much for your wonderful help.
