I stopped at the store/museum/mercantile in Daniel in May of 2011 copies of both volumes were being sold for $50. I will be returning to the area in a couple of weeks and can easily check to see if they are still available.

My great Uncle George Korfanta b. 1878 was married to Anna Chesmar Korfanta where he was a coal miner in Rock Springs, Wyoming. I do keep a private family tree on Ancestry... it would be great to talk with you!
The family would like to know more about the larger family.
Daughter Elizabeth was a ski instructor and I notice that Sunny Korfanta and Karen owned ski areas! A neat branch of the family!

You can find old newspaper articles on wyonewspapers.org. It states they lived in Cora, Wyoming. You can contact the Wyoming State Archives to see if William and Malvery died in Wyoming. You can contact the library in the area where the person passed away and see if they have an obituary.

Would like any information on Willard J Wright and his wife Malvery. They had a ranch in the Pinedale or Cora Wyo area in the late 1890's till at least 1910. They had five children, Charlie, Lee, Harriet (my grandmother), Carrie, and Frank. By 1920 census they had moved to Guernsey Wyo. I know Willard had a brother Charles who married Lucy in 1894. Also son Charlie married Comfort E Boulter.

Thanks for the reply. Your grandfather Barney and my grandmother Pearl are siblings. I have a lot of information on the Bain family, but not all that I need. Many years ago, I contacted your mother, Barbara about some letters and possible pictures of GUncle Clifton's that she knew about, love letters a well. Since there is not a lot about Clifton known to the family I was hoping that those still existed and could be shared. I also would like any inoformation on Barney's family as I do not have the complete information on them. My mother, Maxine knew your Dad and his siblings and your mother used to correspond with one of my aunts, Jean. I met Jesse Carl a few time and also saw GAunt Lady Doll and Barney when I was a child and they visited us in Ca. I have from research that Lady Doll's maiden name is Noah. HUGH GUTHRIE GIVES UP LONG STRUGGLE
Hugh Guthrie was born in Ontario, Canada Dec. 21, 1854, and departed this life November 21, 1914.
He was married to Miss Mary Dochler in 1892. To this union
were born two children, Marie and Fred.
He came to Wyoming in 1908 where he has since made his home on Cottonwood. He leaves to mourn his loss a widow, son and daughter, and a brother in Nebraska, besides a host of friends and neighbors.
The funeral was held from the Congregational church in Big Piney, Thursday, November 23rd. Rev. Geo. F. Wenrich, officiating. Burial in Piney cemetery.

Plank, U. S. Commissioner at Cora, Wyoming, on the 14th day of July, 1916.

Clyde Johnson, Marie C. Guthrie, Mary Guthrie and William F. Bleamer, all of Halfway. Wyoming.

Timber Worker Killed Saturday
? Molander of LaBarge was killed when a tree fell on hom about 4pm Saturday whiloe working in the forest. He was employed by the Beaver Creek Timber ?. He survived by one ? ber Co and in was in the Beaver ???? west of Daniel when the accident occurred. His body was not discoverd until about 8 pm
Molander 57 came to this country from Sweden and is survived by one brother there.

I am researching the name Soublette in the US. Originally from France, my ancestors went to the Canary Islands, then to Latin America. My particular line is in Venezuela, and Chile, where the story goes that a brother or cousin of General Carlos Soublette came to the US around the end of the 18th Century +/- to become a “cow-boy.”

I have found information on the name Sublette (without the “o” before the “u”) but wonder if in fact these two names are not one and the same.

Any information would be appreciated

I do think its the same one, I found him on Ancestry, for New York passengers. Also, I was checking on the 1930 census and it askes when immigrated it lists it as 1923. Yes, I believe it's him.

Looks like he worked for an Elizabeth Roberts, they miss read the name and put an a instead of a S.
It lists Elizabeth Roberts as a Rancher of a general farm.

http://www.sublette.com/history/roundup/home.htm is an excellent source of information on the county. Go to the site put the name you are seeking and if his name is in the Pinedale Round up Index you will get a brief information on him.
My family has been in Fremont/Sublette County for over 100 years and this has been a big help. I live in Colorado.
Until 1921 Sublette Co. did not exist. The area was in Fremont Co.
