The Schroefels aren't my direct line, my gg aunt married John Schroefel b. 9 Oct 1838 in Wurtemburg, Germany, son of Paul and Sarah Schroefel. That about all I know about the family. My gg aunt Maria Louisa Drechsel Schroefel, was also born in Germany and moved to the US as a small girl. John and Maria Louisa(Mary Louise)married in Schuylkill co, Penn and later moved to Wyoming for him to open a bakery and evantually own a ranch. I found a little about them because USgenweb.com has a Wyoming site that listed old newspaper articles about residents and that's how I found the above info. Also those articles said that he came to the US in 1853.
