From the 1920 Census I have that this family was in
Wyoming but were listed under Bringle:
Moss M. Pringle - age 36 (1884) b. Wva. - Dairyman, farm dairy - (owns home)
Nancy O. Pringle - age 46 - (1874) b. wva. - farm labor - home farm
Laina - daughter - age 11 - b. Wyo
Oscar - son - age 8 - b. wyo
Moss and Nancy had a daughter born in
Lewis County WV March 28, 1914. Believe she may have died in
Wyoming and is buried there as I found this:
Catherine
Pringle - died 4-25-1916 born 01-01-1914 - age 2 - Mt. Pisgah Cemetery
Gillette Campbell Co., Wyo.
I believe the children Oscar and Lena/Laina ended up in Scio, OH. The obituary for
Moss Monroe stated that Oscar and Lena were adopted. I wondered if there was any way I could find maybe an obituary or death record for Catherine and find if an adoption record existed in
Gillette for Oscar and Lena. Nancy may have died between 1920 and 1930 but I do not know where this might have occurred. If
Moss owned land, land transaction during the time period might give a clue as to when he left
Wyoming.
Any thoughts or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
