NewspaperArchive.com has the largest collection of Wisconsin newspapers of any online service. I searched NA and found only the attached. Obituaries were just becoming mainstream in the 1890s, so it's not uncommon to find none or just a simple death notice. You may wish to contact the public library in Cambria to find out which newspaper served Cambria (it's too small to have its own) in that time period:

I also searched for any other articles for "William Jones" +Cambria 1852-1896 in the available Wisconsin newspapers, and found the attachments below. They may or may not be related to your Jones family (There were a LOT of men named William Jones in Columbia County, so be careful with your research there.), but are certainly worth keeping in mind as you research.
