i'm looking for ancestors with the Brecka surname, specifically John Brecka born in 1860's or 1870's. He had a wife who was named either Anna, Marie, or Anna Marie Brecka & had four children together; Frank, Bill, Agnes, & Mary. John's son Frank, was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic.)

A good starting point is to check the World War I Draft Registrations for men named "BRECKA" (only 18 in the whole country), especially Frank in Illinois. His mother was Anna.

Thanks, but from what I know, Frank, (my great grandfather,) never went to Illinois; but he could have. About the army, I know he entered and left it in the New York area. His mother's name IS Anna though. By the way, do you think I could find those ancestors in the previous message, and their parents too? Like, how far back in your family can you go on ancestry.com? I never paid for anything on the site before, because i'm only 17. Don't I have to do an international search to find out my ancestors in the Czech Republic?
