Check the volunteer-run Wisconsin genweb site for Ozaukee County. I find a burial records for the Opitz Cemetery in Mequon, which includes WESSEL, Johann, b. 1857, d. 1939. He appears to be buried with a Wilhelmine. Also a WESSEL, Ernestine, with no dates.
