I can't seem to find Erick on any ship records or passenger list.

The first census I find Erick is 1870 Viroqua, Vernon, WI.
Oldest child Caroline age 7 born WI. The last census 1905 WI State, also Vernon county. Some census show wife's name as Betsey, some Berta but, believe it's same person.
Your Bergh family history is in Vernon co. WI
