Joseph Lemiesz is in the 1920 census of Ripon, Fond du Lac County, ED 63, p. 1A, with wife Stella and sons Andrew, Ludovic, Frank and Walter. Joseph was born in Poland and came to the US in 1891, naturalized in 1914; Stella came in 1891. Lucy Pawlowski, Joseph’s mother-in-law, is also living with them.
Birth certificates for Andrew (1898), Francis (1901), and Walter (1906) are on file in Green Lake County. Odds are Ludovic is too, but with the surname misspelled.
St Patrick Catholic Church, 228 Blossom, Ripon, may have cemetery records; St Wenceslaus is at 411 E. Fond du Lac Rd., Ripon, for other sacramental records.
Whether Joseph naturalized in Fond du Lac or Green Lake County, the records will be at the Area Research Center at UW-Oshkosh.
