Was Bridget Finnerty Egan removed from Berlin?
According to a record in the Public Library in Berlin, Wis., Bridget Finnerty Egan died and was buried there in Space 1, Lot 27, Block 24. In the county records office, there was a note dated 1874 from Mary A. Victory (her niece) that said the space "may be reused." (Another relative told me that later her husband decided to move to Iowa with his four children and had the body moved to "a little town near Ellsworth." ) - - words of Jim McGuire
She Died: 1877 in Township Warren, Waushara, Wisconsin.
I see a problem with the dates, since she died 3 years after the note was written?
Thanks for any help or suggestions.
Franklin Heibult
I am looking for information on the marriage between William George Searles and Elizabeth Chamberlain. We have information that WG arrived to Waushara as a widower with one young child (Margaret) in Dec of 1857. The 1860 census for Bloomfield, Waushara Co. shows him married to Elizabeth.

My presumption is that he married Elizabeth in or around Bloomfield, Waushara Co. between 1858 and 1860, but I cannot find any records at all for Elizabeth Chamberlain in Waushara Co., and apparently the County marriage records are not on the state marriage index.

I am hopeful that someone who has access to the Waushara Co. marriage records would be willing to check them for me and let me know if they are listed and what information is recorded about them. Thanks!

Cheers

Jerry Sehlke
Idaho Falls, Idaho

Would someone help me by checking for a burial in Pine
Grove Cemetery? I am looking for the burial for Melissa
(Shumway) Brown. She is the daughter of Joel and Margaret(Stultz) Shumway, who are buried in that cemetery.
Malissa/Melissa was b. ca 9 Oct 1844 and was deceased
by the 1900 census. Also, her husband, Joseph, may be
there. He was born ca Dec 1837 and still alive on the
1900 census. Thank you for any help that can be given.
I have lived in the Pine River area my entire life. I'm a college student in Green Bay now, but history has always been a passion of mine. I'm currently taking a History of Wisconsin class, and for our end of the year project, we need to write a paper. I really want to write one on Pine River during it's "Hay Day". If anyone has any information about books I can look for, or stories, anything...please contact me. The paper is due May 7th, 2002. Thanks so much!
I am searching for Schmudlach and Whitney ancestors in Waushara County. The Schmudlachs have been especially difficult to document. They lived in the Hancock/Coloma area in the early 1900's. My Great-grandparents were Rudolph Schmudlach and Emma Sieditz. It is possible that Rudolph's parents were John Schmudlach and Caroline. The Whitneys have been easier to trace due to their well known name. I'd love to hear from anyone researching these surnames.

George Billington - Waushara, Wisconsin

George Billington's first wife apparently was Julia Ette Haskins. He married several times - either they divorced or Julia Ette died. Is anyone researching this family? According to census records, George was born in Ohio. Louisa Billington, George's sister??, married James J. Haskins and lived in Wisconsin. After she divorced James J. - he deserted the family in 1882 - she married Edward Haskins in Cloud County, Kansas. I would like to know if George and Louisa were brother/sister and who their parents might be. I would also like to know more about Julia Ette. Any information would be welcome!

Hi everyone,I am desperatly looking for greatgrandparents on my granfathers side.My grandfather was Oscar C.Nelson. He was the baker from Milwaukee,Appelton,Mellen,Ashland. He had brothers- Walter,Alfred,Herman-sisters Sophie,Anna. He married my grandmother Martha Rose Nordell. My problem is I have no dates on frank or mary . I have found on LDS website but I really don't think they are the ones. Both Frank and Mary came to the u.s. on a ship as young children. Frank worked for the SOO Line RR.He died at a young age due to a horse kicking him in the chest. His wife was pregnant with twin girls. Later on she remarried a man -----Larson.I think the Larson man was a mail carrier. If any body out ther could possibly help me I sure will be gratefull. The other side of great grandparents is going along but now I have to tackle this empty puzzle. Can You Help Me!!!!!!!!! Julie in Alabama

I am trying to find information about Ebenezer H. Scott and his wife. On July 17, 1862, he was listed (along with his wife, Mrs. E. H. Scott) as the parents of my great, great grandmother, Bell (Isabel) Van Slyke on the certificate of her marriage to Thomas Beaver. I'm hoping to find out the name of his wife as she may have been married before to Mr. Van Slyke, whoever he was. I know that later he was married to Ascenia Morris, but she is not the mother of Isabel.
I would appreciate any information anyone could give me about this.

Frances Harper

Is there osmone out there that can help get some information on a tombstone for me at Wautoma Union cemetery?
my gg grandparents were buried there in the late 1880's, however the Tombstone is newer (abt 1970 or so) I need the information on the back of the tombstone that tells the monument co that made the stone, this is the only way I can find out who ordered and pplaced the marker, this has to be a relative and I am in hopes that they can help with needed family information. the tombstone says LUCE BENNETT
the graves are Judson and Julia Luce, Jennie and George Bennett. the graves are in the middle section at the top of the hill the marker is large and easy to find

thank you so much
Nancy
