Hi,
Yes, that's him. Henry Dean did muster in July 1862. Although Henry Dean's residence is indicated as Milwaukee in his muster in documents; he and his parents (William and Hannah Dean)appear in the 1860 US Federal Census as residents of West Bend. I'm certain this Henry Dean is the same as the one who mustered in July 1862 as I sent for his veteran's records from the National Archives in Washington D.C., his achived records do indicate a resident of Milwaukee pre-muster but every post discharge documents is addressed to Henry Dean of West Bend. The Dean's settled in Barton and West Bend shortly after arriving in the US in about 1856. Thank you. Valerie Breen
P.S. Henry Dean was shot in a skirmish while on a march; affadavits from soldiers on the same march affirmed the nature and location of his injury.
