Seeking any information and family contacts in Monheim, Germany. On Mathias Schuh, his wife Maria Josepha (last name unknown), their son Jacob Schuh, both of his wives Walburga Burkhart and Maria Walburga Weger.
Walburga Burkhart - I have a doucument that has the names Anton Burkhart and Thomas Burkhart on it. These could be brothers or Father and son.
The passenger list 1854 for Jacob and Walburga (Weger) Schuh, States Province as Bavaria, Village Oberdorf. Many family records in the states show Monheim as the area they were from (Which is above Oberdorf). Not sure which area is correct.
Jacob Schuh July 13,1800- Sept. 22 1892. His father was Mathias Schuh and mother Maria Josepha (Don't know last name, think Josepha is her middle name). I have some information on baptism which states the name Royal Bavarian Parish office along with his full name as Johann Jacob Schuh (for Jacob).
It seems that Jacob married two Walburga's. Walburga Burkhart- He married in 1830 they were together about seven years. They had two children Josephine " Josepha" Schuh- 1/9/1833-1/18/1895 Milw. WI, and Jacob Schuh 9/17/1836 - 7/23/1889 Freedom, WI. Jacob Schuh's first wife died before he came to the U.S.
Then he married Maria Walburga Weger in 1837, Monheim. She was from Weingarten/Bavaria, District Court Pleinfeld. Maria Walburga (Weger) Schuh 1801-1870. The children of Jacob and "Walburga" are John Schuh 4/5/1840-8/08/1922 Appleton, WIandd Charles "Charley" Schuh 9/3/1841-11/27/1884 Rosellville, WI.
I am also looking for Addison township, Washinghton county, WI. Schuh's that are related or know the property which the above Schuh's lived on before they moved to the Freedom area in Outagamie, WI.
