I am in need of some urgent help on my niece's behalf.
She will only be home for another 8-9 days before she her leave is up and she must return to her command. to then await transfer to Kuwait.
She is not only serving our country in it's time of need, but also desires to honor her ancestors who also served as patriots. So I have been doing the research, leg work, and paper work for her application to the Daughters of Union Civil War Veterans Society...but I have found that there are a couple of loose ends that desperately need to be tied up.
I need the obituary article for one ancestor...
Hannah Ellen Sallander Fogle, nick name: "Ella"
wife of Edwin T. Fogle, mother of 7 children.
Ernest, Edna, Emily, Lloyd, Violet, Edwin & Stella.
She died 14 April 1916 in Shell Lake, Washburn Co, Wi, and is buried there as well.
I not only need the obituary, I need the proper citation that would make it a document. Name of Newspaper, location it is published at..date of publication of article, section, page and column of paper.
Because time is so critical here, I am also asking that this obituary come to me as a digitized image, and not to use US Postal service, as during this holiday season, it could take longer to get here, than we have...
Ready for the punch line?
I have run out of funds to pay for this important piece of documentation with citation. Sad but true.
I have her birth, marriage and death record, but we still need this obituary to prove the link to her children.
This is my niece's ancestry, not mine. So believe me when I say that a considerable number of documents have had to be purchased for this project, back to the Civil War patriot ancestor, including his CW Pension file from Washington D.C. I have just reached the bottom of the well of available funds in the time remaining...please help.
Many say they want to support our troops. Few actually do support our troops. This may be an unusual way to support our troops, but the idea still applies. Will you help? We sure do need it. She is stationed in Washington state...home is Michigan for her, and I live in Florida. We do not have anyone related to do this errand that still lives in Washburn County.
So thank you for taking the time to read this posted message, and additionally, thank you for caring, your time and your free research help. I know I appreciate it a great deal, and I believe that this young lady, my niece will be overwhelmed by the knowlege of all who have participated in this worthy project.
