Searching for information on my Grandparents maternal/paternal ancestors. All originated from Popielow and Siolkowice, Schlesian, Germany/Poland. Immigrated to
Town of Hale, Trempealeau County, Wisconsin, pre-1880.

I wish I could help.
But our records are so scattered, because my grampa and his brothers and sisters got separated because they left Prussia at different times before they settled in the USA.
My Grampa 'Fridrik Rek' joined in on the Oklahoma land rush. The others, we are not sure where they went.

I have info. on a Hedwigis Reck Kampa. She is listed on my family tree for the Reck family. She is the daughter of Matheus Reck and Christina Zienczyk; born November 01, 1860; m. Theophild Kampa, May 6, 1879; d. November 21, 1934, Arcadia, Wi. Contact me and I can provide more info. Maureen

My ggrandfather George Reimer was married to M. Juanita Smick. (2nd marriage: 9/5/1931)
According to her obit., she had a sister, C. Vivian Smick, brothers: James, Gladwin, and Lafayette Smick, and she was born to Joseph & Susanna Galligan Smick.
She died in Oshkosh, WI.

My ggrandmother was Mary Szmicek. She married Matheusz Kassela in 1882. I am wondering if Smyk or Szmicek names were changed over the years. The folks back then weren't too concerned how their name was spelled. I am willing to share my information.
