Beck, Eileen Catherine

Eileen Catherine Beck, age 86, of Neenah, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2006, at Alterra Sterling House in Neenah.

She was born April 8, 1919, in Tigerton, WI, daughter of the late Reinhold and Margaret (Dunleavy) Block. She married Benedict Beck on November 22, 1941, in Oshkosh; he preceded her in death in 1981. Eileen graduated from the Mercy School of Nursing in Oshkosh. She was employed as a Registered Nurse in Neenah for many years for Dr. Erdal Gursoy.

Eileen was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, joining the church at its inception.

Survivors include her three sons: Jay (Julieanne) Beck, Neenah; Guy (Ruth) Beck, Buckman, MN; and Kim (Pamela) Beck, Thiensville, WI; her five grandchildren: Gregg Beck, Tod (Jessica) Beck, Patricia (George Johnson) Beck, Matthew Beck and Benedict Beck; and her great- granddaughter, Taylor.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Benedict; her brother, William Block; and her two sisters, Alice Block Gates and Veronica Block Meyer.

Funeral services for Eileen will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at 11:30 a.m., at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Neenah with Fr. Richard Allen officiating. Family and friends may visit at the church on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in St. Margaret's Cemetery, Neenah. Memorials may be made to the Fox Valley Humane Association.
