Drake ‘Rocky’ Specht, age 18, of Gresham, passed away Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, at his home.
Drake was born on Oct. 19, 1987, in Milwaukee, the beloved son of Jill and the late Robert Peterson. Drake was baptized at the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. He attended Marquette University High School, Waukesha South High School and Bowler High School. Drake was a member of the Boy Scouts in Dousman and Oconomowoc and presently a member of the Army National Guard, a member of Charlies Cobra’s in Sussex, and recently transferred to the CoBB in Oshkosh. He enjoyed skateboarding and was on the committee to build Waukesha’s first skateboard park. Drake also enjoyed reading, learning history, and soccer.
Drake is survived by: his mother, Jill Peterson of Gresham; his brothers and sisters, Matthew (Stephanie) Nelson of Franklin, Jillian, Tabitha, Colt, Francesca; maternal grandmother, Nancy Specht of Milwaukee; paternal grandparents, Dr. Robert and Ruth Ann Peterson of Saukville; nieces, Mattea and Sophia; and aunts and uncles. Drake was preceded in death by: his stepfather, Robert Peterson; and grandfather, John Specht.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints in Gresham with the Bishop Patrick Pleshek officiating. Family and friends may call at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Gresham on Friday from 4 until 8 p.m. and at the church on Saturday after 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
