Larry was born February 22, 1941 in Milwaukee, the son of the late James and Grace (Smith) Davids. In 1947 the family moved to the Stockbridge Indian Reservation where Larry went to school for one year and finished the rest of his schooling in Bowler. While in high school he learned to play the trumpet and was invited to attend a music school for trumpet in Stockbridge, Mass for one summer. He was a four year veteran of the US Air Force where he was trained in electronics and worked with computers. He served a two year assignment in Turkey. Upon his return to the US he was reassigned as an instructor in his career field. After leaving the Air Force, he was employed in various fields such as computers (he installed the first computers is the Shawano Court House), over the road truck driving and taxi driver. He enjoyed being with his son and family, siblings, cousins and friends. He especially enjoyed doing free minor house repairs for his Elders, of whom he had great respect. He also enjoyed country music, camping, traveling and thrill rides at amusement parks.
