OBITUARY EXTRACTION:
NAME & ADDRESS:
Verna SCHUH, age 106,
Shawano, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005, at Heartland Health Care Center in
Shawano.
BIRTH & PARENTS: She was born in Norway on June 3, 1899, the daughter of the late John and Ella (
Peterson)
Hogan and immigrated with her parents to the United States in 1910.
EARLY YEARS & MARRIAGE: The Hogan's settled in the Town of Waukechon. On Sept. 15, 1951, she was united in marriage to Joseph
SCHUH in Gresham; he preceded her in death on Oct. 30, 1972.
INTERESTS - EMPLOYMENT: Mrs. Schuh lived in
Shawano since 1970 and was a former resident at Parkside Apartments where she had many special friends. She was a member of
Zion Lutheran Church, a member of the Anne Circle and a former member of
Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Lunds.
SURVIVORS: Survivors include: stepson,
Leland (Mildred)
SCHUH of Shawano; stepdaughter, Lenice (Roy)
Otto of Hemet, Calif.; stepson-in-Iaw, David Tomashek of
Roseburg, Ore.; niece, Gertrude (Neil) Kiedinger of Green Bay; nephews, Clayton (Bernice)
Hogan of
Seymour,
Eli Hogan of
Coloma, WI; 11 step-grandchildren; numerous step-great-grandchildren.
PRECEDED BY: She was also preceded in death by a brother, Irgens
Hogan.
FUNERAL SERVICES AND BURIAL: Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 3, at 10:30 a.m. at
Zion Lutheran Church in
Shawano with
Pastor Peter Sherven officiating. Interment will be in
Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery in Lunds. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. on Saturday until the time of services at the church. Schroeder-Mickelson Funeral
Service of
Shawano is in charge of arrangements. A memorial fund for
Zion Lutheran Church has been established in her memory.
