FINAL RITES FOR MRS. A. SCHMIDT
Final rites for Mrs. Albert Schmidt, 67, were held yesterday at the residence in the town of Herman, and at 2 PM at the Elias Lutheran church. Interment took place at the church cemetery, and the 6 sons acted as pallbearers.
Mrs. Albert Schmidt passed away at 5 AM on Saturday as a result of five weeks illness with heart trouble. Bertha Braatz, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. A. Braatz, was born on June 4, 1871 in the town, of Seneca. She was married on April 17, 1892 to Albert Schmidt, and they made their home in the town of Herman. She was a member of Elias Lutheran church.
Surviving are the husband of the deceased; 6 sons, Edward, Red Springs; Reinhold and George, also of Red Springs; Albert, Jr., at home; Claude, Land O Lakes, Wis.; Walter, at home; 3 daughters, Mrs. Ella Taylor, Green Bay; Ida, Green Bay; and Mrs. Adeline Dahl, town of Morris; 18 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Charles Braatz, Red Springs; Ferdinand Braatz, and August Braatz, town of Seneca; 2 sisters, Mrs. Hannah Giessel of the town of Seneca; and Mrs. Minnie Schwartzkopf, town of Herman.
