(August 2, 1922 - June 10, 2000)
Catherine Belle Greyhair, "Hi u gi ga, Queen," age 77, Wittenberg, died Saturday, June 10, 2000 at the Old Millhaus, Birnamwood.
She was born August 2, 1922 in Wausau, the daughter of the late Elijah and Florence (Boyce) Whitewing. On June 10, 1050, Catherine married Theodore Greyhair in Madison. He preceded her in death on June 7, 1994.
Survivors include 1 son, Louis (Gladys Decorah) Greyhair, DePere, 1 daughter, Caroline Greyhair, Wittenberg; 2 grandsons and 1 brother, George (Violet) Whitewing, Wittenberg. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 infant daughters, 4 sisters, Caroline Stacy, Ethel Weso, Martha Whitewing and Victoria Whitewing and 1 brother, Raymond Whitewing.
Native American Church services were held June 12, 2000 at the Catherine Greyhair residence, Wittenberg. Mr. Lorenzo Funmaker officiated. Interment was in the Whitewing Family Cemetery, town of Birnamwood.
