Raymond Sterling Whitewing
(October 7, 1911 - May 1, 1990)
Raymond Sterling Whitewing, age 78, Wittenberg, town of Birnamwood, died Tuesday, May 1, 1990 at Wausau Hospital.
He was born October 7, 1911 in Wittenberg, the son of the late Elijah and Florence (Boyce) Whitewing. Raymond was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during World War II. He was married to Elizabeth Stacy. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include 3 sons, Elijah and Errol, both of Chicago and Marlon Curtis, Wittenberg; 4 daughters, Martha Neubert, Jeanette Whitewing, Beverly Whitewing and Estelle Whitewing, all of Chicago; 1 brother, George Whitewing, Wittenberg; 3 sisters, Ethel Weso, Sparta, Catherine Greyhair, Wittenberg and Caroline Stacy, Wisconsin Dells; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held May 4, 1990 at Potch Chee Nunk Community Center, Wittenberg. Mr. Alvin Weso officiated. Interment was at the Ray Whitewing residence.
