OBITUARY EXTRACTION:

NAME & ADDRESS:
Sarah H. Schmidt, age 98, Shawano, formerly of Gresham, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2001, in Shawano.

BIRTH & PARENTS:
She was born Feb. 1, 1903, in the Town of Seneca, the daughter of the late Anton F. and Clara (Schreiber) Heins.

EARLY YEARS & MARRAGE:
She was united in marriage on June 21, 1928, in Waukegan, Ill., to Eldor W. Schmidt. He preceded her in death on March 23, 1980.

INTERESTS:
She enjoyed farming and all the animals, genealogy and gardening. She was an excellent seamstress and cook, loved to read and was a very active member in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

SURVIVORS:
Survivors include: Three daughters, Rachel (John) McDonald of Moab, Utah, Nathalie (Robert) Williamson of Provo, Utah, Nadine (Edward) Rosenberg of Shawano; two sons, Howard (Rea) Schmidt of Colonial Juarez, Mexico, Merritt (Janice) Schmidt of Gresham; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: one daughter, one great-grandson; four sisters; three brothers.

FUNERAL SERVICES AND BURIAL:
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, July 24, at 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Gresham with Bishop Jeff Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in Roosevelt Cemetery in the Town of Seneca. Friends may call on Tuesday, July 24, at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of services. Swedberg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
