Evyon Marjorie Heins, age 66, of N6801 Campground Road, Gresham, died on Thursday, August 26, 2004, at her home.
She was born on Jan. 22, 1938, at Shawano, the daughter of the late James. J. and Arlene Louise (Flauger) Cerveny, Sr. Evyon married Ivan A. Heins on Sept. 18, 1956, in Dubuque, Iowa and has lived in the Gresham area all of her life.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was a seminary teacher. She enjoyed doing genealogy work.
Survivors include: her husband, Ivan; son Cory (Sarah) Heins, Gresham; daughter, Candi (Brian) McGregor, Gresham; six grandchildren, Allyson, Abby, Ian, Clark, Caleb and Collion; brothers and sisters, Marjorie (Robert) Reedy, Gresham; Ronnie (Cooke) Malueg, Caroline; Thomas (Rose) Malueg, Caroline; Bonnie Cerveny, Gresham; Diane (David) Wahl, Seymour; James J. (Donna) Cerveny, Jr., Gresham, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: a daughter, Kay; a brother, Cal Cerveny; and a sister, Diane Malueg.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 30, at 11 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Patrick Pleshek officiating.
Friends and relatives may call at Swedberg Funeral Home, Gresham, from 4 until 8 p.m. on Sunday and at the Church on Monday after 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Roosevelt Cemetery.
Note: Eve will be greatly missed -- she was a dear friend and made anyone/everyone welcome at her kitchen table... til we meet again, Eve...
