Kathleen Dawn Peterson

Kathleen D. Peterson, age 56, Wittenberg, died on Thursday, February 5, 2004.

She was born on October 15, 1947 in Laona the daughter of the late Gilbert and Melvina (Wewauson) Shegonee.

Kathleen was a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant. She liked cooking, and was an enjoyable person to be around.

Kathleen is survived by her best friend and companion of 25 years, Melford Rockman; four daughters, Renee Rockman and Sharon Rockman, both of Wittenberg; Nicole Roberts, Chicago, Michelle Yoshida, Kansas; one son, William Roberts, Chicago; three grandchildren, Alexis Roberts, Edwin Martinez, Sasano Pedilla; one brother, Loyal Shegonee, Albuquerque, New Mexico; four sisters, Verna Rodriquez, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Laura Shegonee, Lac du Flambeau, Faye Shegonee, Montana, Barbara Shegonee, Chicago, and her adoptive parents, Charles and Lou Neff, Neillsville. In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by a grandson, David Roberts, two brothers and one sister, Mavis.

Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Sunday, February 8, 2004 at the Native American Church, Wittenberg. Mr. Lorenzo Funmaker will officiate. Interment will be in the John Stacy Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:30PM Saturday until the time of services on Sunday all at the church.
