RITES SATURDAY FOR GUSTAV HOHN, 95

Gustav Hohn, 95, long-time resident of the town of Herman, died Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ed Peters. He had been ailing for 3 months.

Funeral services for Mr. Hohn will be held at 1 PM on Saturday at the Elias Lutheran Church, town of Herman. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Hohn was born May 15, 1864 in Germany, the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Frederick Hohn. He came to the United States with his parents at the age of 10 and they homesteaded a farm in Herman.

He was married to Miss Emma Nordwig, Dec. 15, 1891, in the town of Seneca and had the rare pleasure of celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary in 1956. Mrs. Hohn died two years ago.

Survivors include 5 children, 23 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 1 great greatgrandchild. The children are Ed Hohn of Bowler; Mrs. Lillie Maves, Amherst; Ervin, Weyauwega; Frieda, Mrs. Ed Peters, Herman, and Dorothy, Mrs. Walter Otto, Gresham. A daughter, Gertrude, died in infancy.

Mr. Hohn was a charter member of the Elias Lutheran church, Herman and served as its president for 15 years. He was also clerk and treasurer of the Hohn School for many years.
