NAME & ADDRESS:
Robert 'Bum' Murphy, age 57, of Milwaukee, formerly of Bowler, died Wednesday, June 5, 2002, in Milwaukee.
BIRTH & PARENTS:
He was born June 4,1945, in Shawano County, the son of the late Ervin and Charlotte 'Lottie' (Fraley) Murphy.
EARLY YEARS & MARRIAGE:
He attended school in Bowler and lived in Milwaukee most of his life where he owned and operated his salvage yard.
INTERESTS - EMPLOYMENT:
He was a confirmed member of the Lutheran Church of the Wilderness, Bowler. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
SURVIVORS:
He is survived by: three children, Tammy (fiance, Forrest Hodge) of Whitehall, Wayne (Pegi) of Independence, Ashley of Bowler; brothers, Ervin Jr. 'Jim' (Jane), Gary, Raymond (Kerry), David (Dawn), Wayne (Mary); best friend, Leona of Milwaukee; several nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL SERVICES AND BURIAL:
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 8, at 11 a.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Wilderness, Bowler, with the Rev. Stephen Shriner officiating. Burial will be in the Stockbridge-Munsee Indian Burial Ground. Friends may call at the church after 9:30 a.m. on Saturday until the time of the services. Swedberg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
