FUNERAL FOR MRS. CAROLINE VOELZ OF SENECA IS ON FRIDAY.
Frau Carolina J. Volz of town Seneca died on Jan. 9 at the old homestead in town Seneca, now run by her son Albert. She was 78 years old, and had been sick for a week. Carolina Volz was born 7 July 1854 in Germany, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Christian Kolpack. In 1871 she came with her parents to Shawano county. She was married here in 1873 to Carl Voelz who preceded her in death by about a year. She is survived by the following children: Wm. F. Voelz, Tilleda; Mrs. Emma Giessel in Black Earth; Mrs. Robert Schmidt in Bowler; Albert Volz at home, and George in Wittenberg; 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Three children preceded her in death. She also leaves a brother, Fred Kolpack in Bowler. The funeral was held on Friday afternoon at 1:00 from the home and then from the Lutheran church in town Seneca.
