EUNICE F. KNOPE age 89 of 103 Madison Way, Shawano passed away on Friday, Oct. 16, 2009 at the Appleton Medical Center.

She was born Eunice Frieda Schroeder on Aug. 7, 1920 in Gresham, daughter of the late Henry and Clara (Steinke) Schroeder.

On June 7, 1941 she was united in marriage to Lloyd Knope in Gresham, he preceded her in death on May 6, 1998.
Eunice was a member and former secretary of the DAV Auxilliary of Shawano and an active and faithful member of St. James Lutheran Church where she served as a member of the Tabitha Society, LWML and a member of the Valparaiso Guild.

She had a special love for spending time with her family including her special nieces and nephews.

Survivors Include:
Son and daughter-in-law: Lloyd and Sue Knope, Shawano

Grandchildren: Steve Knope, Crystal Lake, IL. Amy (Brian) Harper, New Berlin Julie (Nathan) Baylor, Itasca, IL.
Great-Grandchildren: Alex, Emma and Jack

four sisters-in-law: Bernice Schroeder, Shawano Alice Knope, Clintonville Bessie Knope, North Port, FL.
Marie Knope, Manitowoc

Brother-In-Law: Harry (Georgia) Knope, Rockford, IL.
and several nices, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services: Monday, Oct. 19, 2009 at 11:00AM at St. James Lutheran Church with Pastor Fred Zimmermann, officiating

Interment at the Woodlawn Cemetery of Shawano.
Friends may call after 10:00AM on Monday at the Church till time of services. Schroeder-Mickelson Funeral Service of Shawano is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial funds in her memory may be designated for the St. James Lutheran Church or St. James Lutheran School.
