Death Notice: ROSE M. RAYFIELD

Rose M. Rayfield, age 99, of
Shawano , passed away on Wednesday evening, May 13, 2009 at the
Shawano Medical Center, where she had been a patient for one day.
Rose was born in Chicago, IL, a daughter of the late Ben and Micehlia, nee Bulvova,
Rogowski on Aug. 29, 1909.
She grew up in Chicago and attended Polish Catholic grade school on the northwest side of the city.
On Sept.
14, 1929 she was united in marriage to Elmer
Rayfield in Chicago.
Following their marriage the couple lived in Chicago and later moved to Des Plaines, IL. Rose was a mother and homemaker most of her life.
Her husband preceded her in death in June of 1984.
Following the death of her son, she moved to
Shawano .
Rose had a strong Catholic faith.
She loved to cook, especially the traditional polish dishes of her heritage.
Survivors include one daughter, Marjorie
Stewart of White Lake; four granddaughters, DeAnne
Mason (Ken
Coffey) of
Appleton, WI,
Cheri and Sally
Stewart, both of
Shawano and Vickie
Anderson of Kaukauna; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Elmer Rayfield; her son-in-law, William C. Stewart; five sisters and three brothers; and a grandson, Steve
Mason.
Private family funeral services will be held.
Interment will be in the Bohemian National Cemetery, Chicago, IL.Schroeder-Mickelson Funeral
