Baranczyk, Agnes

Agnes Baranczyk, 93, Pittsfield, died peacefully Monday, July 21, 2008, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Seymour. The daughter of the late Albert and Antoinette (Wozniak) Holewinski was born June 3, 1915, in Hofa Park, where she married Michael Baranczyk on Nov. 18, 1936. The couple farmed in the town of Pittsfield for 29 years. Agnes had been a member of SS. Edward & Isidore Church in Flintville for many years.

She enjoyed reading, knitting, and making draperies. She crocheted dresses and doilies and made wedding dresses for several of her family members. Agnes worked as a seamstress at Nau's Department Store in Green Bay for 11 years.

Survivors include three sons and two daughters, Anthony Baranczyk and his special friend, Marty Gallagher, Pulaski; Pat Murawski, Green Bay; Earl and Bobbie Baranczyk, Abrams; Jerome and Mary Baranczyk, Pittsfield; and Evelyn Baranczyk, Pittsfield; 19 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; one brother, Joseph Holewinski, Howard; one sister, Emily Conard, Menomonee Falls; a brother-in-law, Earl Bosar, Green Bay; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Marunowski, Green Bay; and Sr. Lenore Baranczyk, O.S.F., Springfield, Ill.; many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband on May 9, 1983; one son, Dale on April 7, 1991; several infant children; one brother, Adolph; six sisters, Helen, Sophie, Angeline, Lucy, Margie, and Theresa.

Friends may call at Marnocha Funeral Home, Pulaski from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Visitation continues after 9:30 a.m. Friday at SS. Edward & Isidore Church, Flintville. Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, Fr. David Kasperek presiding with entombment in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.

The family would like to thank the staff of Good Shepherd Nursing Home for the good care they gave to Agnes, and also grandchildren Kay, Rachel, Cindy, Chris, Toni Jo, and Eric for all of their help.
