Herman Heling, 77 Funeral Wednesday

Herman (Dave) Heling, 77, Shawano, died Sunday morning November 17 after being seriously ill for the past month. He was born in the Town of Waukechon June 14, 1897, the son of Mr. and Mrs. August Heling. He was a dairy farmer in the Town of Richmond until his retirement in 1959.

He was married April 27, 1921, in the Town of Richmond to Lillie Barfknecht. She died August 2, 1949.

On September 30, 1961 he was married to Anna Kriewaldt Koehler at the Zion Lutheran Church in Embarrass.

He was a veteran of World War I. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Town of Richmond, and of the St. James Men's Club of the church.

He is survived by his wife Anna Shawano, one daughter, Dorothy, Mrs. Earl Raddant, Route 2, Shawano, one stepson and four stepdaughters, five grand-children, 20 step-grand-children and several step-great-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, Walter, Clintonville, and two half-brothers, Art, Clintonville, and Adolph, Route 2, Shawano. he was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 20 at 2 p.m. at St. James Lutheran Church, Town of Richmond, with Rev. Mark Gaertner officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Born Funeral Home, Shawano, from 2 until 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 8:30 until 10 a.m. on Wednesday, and then at the church until the time of the services.
