Mrs. A. Schoenike, 78, Waupaca, Dies; Rites Wednesday

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church, Gresham, for Mrs. Helen A. Schoenike, 78, who died at Waupaca on Monday, January 17. The service will be at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. James Diemer, Waupaca, officiating. Interment will be in Zion Rest Cemetery, Town of Herman. Friends may now call at the Holly Funeral Home, Waupaca, and at the church on Wednesday after 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service.

Mrs. Schoenike was born August 9, 1893 in the Town of Lebanon, Dodge County. She married Adolph F. Schoenike on December 25, 1913 in the Town of Belle Plaine. He died in 1966. She moved to Waupaca from Shawano County in October, 1964.

Survivors are two sons, Carl Schoenike, Shawano and Melvin Schoenike, Milwaukee; and four daughters, Lena, Mrs. Leif Olson, Waupaca; Luella, Mrs. Leonard Jozwiak, Antigo and Hazel, Mrs. Richard Eakley, Milwaukee. Also surviving are 13 grand-children and 16 Great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Fenske, Shawano and Mrs. Ella Koeller, Wausau. A son Eugene and her husband preceded her in death.
