Barbara “Barb” Miller, age 71 of Bowler, passed away Tuesday, October 09, 2007 at her home. Barb was born on July 25, 1936 in Keshena, the daughter of the late Franklin and Alta (Sturm) Wilber. On December 16, 1968 she was united in marriage to LaRoy “Mun” Miller in Waukegan, IL. Barb worked at the North Star Casino for 10 years and had also worked at Eagle Knit in Shawano for a few years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and crocheting.
Barb is survived by: her husband, Mun; her daughter, Nancy (Dale) Boivin of Bowler; 4 grandchildren, Krista, Becky, Devon, B.J.; 6 brothers and sisters, George Wilber, Beulah (Verlyn) Spreeman, Maynard Wilber, Bernard (Doris) Wilber, Roger (Darlene) Wilber, Beverly Wilber; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Barb was preceded in death by: her son, Michael; her parents; and 4 brothers and sisters, Earl, Gene, David, Franklin “June”, and DeeDee.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, October 12, 2007 at the Lutheran Church of the Wilderness in Bowler with the Rev. Stephen Shriner officiating. Burial will be in the Stockbridge Indian Burial Grounds in the Town of Bartelme. Family and friends may call at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Gresham on Thursday from 4 until 8pm and at the church on Saturday after 10am until the time of the service.
