I am interested in obtaining biographical information and an obituary for Mr. Alvin E. Walrath. He was the founder of the town of Walrath, Wisconsin. I don't know the date of his death, but it was after 1889, as he is listed as a survivor in his father's obit.

Alvin was born about 1863 in Sparta, Monroe County, Wisconsin to Alfred Edward (Ed.) Walrath and Sarah Ann Blake Walrath. He had one sister, MaryBell Walrath, who remained unmarried and died as a young woman. This family had "long roots" in Sparta.

Sarah Ann Blake was the daughter of Hilton Blake and Laura Kimball, and Ed Walrath was the son of noted minister, Fredrick Walrath and Catherine Anguish.
