Mrs. Harriet
Patterson died at the home of her daughter, mrs. Ida
Greatsinger, in
Beloit, Monday, July 31, 1905; death resulting from a fracture of her hip. The remains were brought to this city Wednesday noon, and the funeral services were held at the home of Geo. Greatsinger at 2 o'clock. Rev. Parry officiating. Interment in
Maple Hill Cemetery.
Harriet
Van Dusen was born eighty-two years ago; was married to James Nelson
Patterson and came to this state in 1846, settling on a farm near
Brooklyn. In 1880 they moved to this city, and on May 7, 1890 Mr. Patterson was called to the Home beyond.
To this union four children were born; one having died some years ago. Those left to mourn the loss of mother are, Mrs. Ida
Greatsinger of
Beloit,
Leander Patterson of
Toledo, and Charles
Patterson of
South Dakota. The daughter and
Leander were present at the funeral; Charles paid a visit to his mother but a few weeks ago.
The family wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to those who rendered assistance at the funeral of their mother.
