He married Ella Syring. Thanks in advance!!!!

Here's a little from the book: One Hunred Years of Mackville 1849-1949

Historial Essays by the Rev. N. L. Gross

On November 4, 1860. Father Dale made his first visit to the town and met the parishioners. He promised the people services more regularly if they would fix up the church. And if the church were heated. he agreed to come during the winter months. Nathan HAESSLEY was elected to act as Treasurer of the mission and Peter HEPHER was elected to solicit funds. Between Dec. 1, 1860 and December 1, 1861. he collected $33.08 from the following persons. We believe that this list represents fairly well the practical members of the Mission at that time and. since it is the first list of Parish names. we give them here.

David Barry
Wilson Berthier
Thomas Butler
John Butler
James Cotter
Patrick Cannen
Patrick Calnin
Wm.

I am researching the Peter and Christian Mares family and have come across some confusing inforamtion. The father Peter lived in Bear Creek, Waupaca County; the son Christian Mares moved around a bit, then "came back" to Bear Creek, but the census lists it as city of Welcome, Outagamie county. Welcome had a name change to Bear Creek after 1910. When you look at these two Bear Creeks on a map, they practically look like they are next to one another as they are near the county line of Waupaca and Outagamie counties. Are they one in the same, or just two cities near each other with the same name?

Some HOUSEY family members are buried in the Catholic Cemetery in Bear Creek. Would anyone have information on HOUSSOIS or HOUSEY family history?

I am trying to find the death date of William Henry STATE, born 23 September 1864. He married Lillian Mae HEDDING in 1889 in Ozaukee Co. WI. I find them in the 1930 census in Kaukauna but do not find them in the S.S. dth index. Their son, also William STATE, died in Sept. 1962. I am thinking they died betweem 1930 and 1950. Is this name familiar to anyone? Thanks for any help.

Anthony Bodrow in Maple Creek in 1880: What is correct surname?

www.familysearch.com index of U.S. Census 1880 for Tn. Maple Creek, Outagamie Co, WI, USA, has Anthony Bodrow age 40, with wife Margaret age 36, and 6 children. I have fairly large database for Beaudreau -- and also for Beaudoin, Beaudry, and other French-Canadian families that spanned Fond du lac County and Outagamie County -- but I can't match anyone with this Anthony. Does anyone know his proper surname or his parents? Or hers?

According to index of county records, Malvina Joubert married Jean Baptiste (John) Balthazor on 28 May 1888 in Outagamie Co. In the 1880 census, they lived in the Town of Maple Creek in Outagamie Co., so possibly they married there, perhaps in St. Mary church in Bear Creek.

If someone has access to the county records, or to St. Mary records, I would greatly appreciate learning who were her parents. There are several candidates (see Joubert listings in "westscottstreet" database at wc.rootsweb.com), but I cannot now match Melvina to any of them.

He was a Pudential insurance agent, his wife Frances (also known as Harriet) was a teacher who in 1924 suied the school board over contract issues. We believ Frances Borklund moved to Arizona but may have died in Wisconsin. Both were very active at St. Theressa's church and had a lake home at High Cliff. Any assistance is welcome.

He was born before she was married, and we have no real information about her.

From ancestry.com, the only record for a Marjory Siebers in Milwaukee is a birth record. It only says, 10 Sep 1907 - Milwaukee. I have requested a copy of the birth certificate.

Through my searches, it seems that most of the Siebers family is located in Outagamie county. I'm hoping someone might be able to track down some family history for a currently, nearly empty branch of my wife's family.

Mike
My family is from Little Chute, Oudenhoven and Miron. I was born there and went to St.John grade school and high school. Did you know there are indians buried beneath where the high altar used to stand? The original wooden structure burned down and then the parishners cut and hauled the stone for the present church from the Doyle Park area. They now want to raze the church and build a new one. They should consult indian desendants before doing anything to the church.

I am continuing to search for Sarah Wilson Thompson's information. I know she died about 1920 maybe in March. There were posting in the Appleton Crescent regarding an estate with appraisers being appointed. How do I go about getting a copy of her estate proceedings, or the results of this action?

If I could find out a more exact time of death, possibly there is a death record. I am still trying to find out who her mother is. She is my great-great aunt. So far none of the death records for two of her brothers (including my gg grandfather) identify who the mother is. One sister's record claims a Lucy Angel. Yet the census for 1850 indicate it is someone named Miranda. In 1870 a Lucy Wilson is living with the father, Freeman Willson in Black Creek, next door to Elisha and Sarah Thompson. I believe she is a step-mother. Is there anyone researching this family or who is able to look up records?

ELLENBECKER, Anthony 1872 -

History of Outagamie County, Wisconsin. Pub. 1911. Page 658

Anthony Ellenbecker

who is engaged in farming on a property near Appleton, in Center township, Outagamie county, has resided on
this property all of his life. He was born here July 7, 1872, a son of Nicholas Ellenbecker, a native of Germany, who
came to the United States during the early '60s, when but sixteen years old, and settled in the town of Greenville,
on the farm of an uncle. After about ten years here he had accumulated enough to purchase a farm of his own,
and subsequently purchased the Center township property. At this time he was married to Anna Tock, whom he
had known in Germany, from which country she came to 1866, her family first settling in Appleton and then
moving on to Center township. They had seven children, of whom two are now deceased. Anthony Ellenbecker
was the oldest of the children of his parents, and all the time that he could spare from the district school he was
compelled to give to the work of the farm, as it was necessary that he should assist his father in the support of
the growing family. Later he spent three years in the Sisters' school at Mackville, but after completing this term
returned to the home ofarma nd took up his duties again. In 1906 his parents removed to Appleton, and Mr.
Ellenbecker then rented the homestead from them and has continued to conduct it to the present time. General
farming and dairying operations have demanded all of his attention, and he has never aspired to public, although
a stanch supporter of the principles of the Democratic party.

On April 12, 1910, Mr. Ellenbecker was married to Mamie Garvey, daughter of James P. and Bridget Garvey, of
Freedom township. Mrs. Ellenbecker was formerly a schoolteacher of District No. 4, Center township. She and
Mr. Ellenbecker are members of St. Edward's Catholic Church, at Mackville.

I am a descendant of John Bongert (Bungert) who was Michael's twin brother. I remember attending Bongert/Bungert family reunions in Winneconne, WI when I was very small. Some of the Bungerts did attend these gatherings, but I have no pictures of any of them. I would love to add some pictures to my family tree. Please contact me if you can help me. bonbon282@hotmail.com

Would anybody have an obit for "Anthony "Tony" Fleisner born September 6, 1992 and died December 19, 2000? The only article I could find online is "'Mom mourns son and warns: Be careful about snow tunnels. Sheboygan Press, The (WI) - January 26, 2005'" and that I can't get open.

Nathan is a half brother; need to verify his mother (?Mary Beth Weber? wed to DuWayne Buechel) and her parents (possibly Ronald Weber & Patricia ______?)

Any info would be appreciated.

Sandy H
