Thank you for the information. I must apologize for not giving any dates associated with this family. Will follow up on this.
I can find marriage 1866; Federal Census 1870; Wisconsin Census 1875 (an extra person shows up here); death record from St. Mary's Catholic Church for husband.
Wife remarries in 1876 (moves to Chatfield MN) and I can track her until her death in Minnesota. Can follow sons when enter eneters St. Michael's Orphan Asylum in 18875 (later one dies in Wisconsin the other two in Minnesota)
Daughter Mary disappears until 1892 when she is married in Minneapolis. There is a Mary Smith in Tomah working as servant for Trabert family (age is correct). Assume she is in "orphanage" based on family lore -- but no proof.
Have followed up on divorce record -- was told there was no information available. (unsure why - as I didn't make a note of reason)
