Mrs. Rosa Ellen Wirt, 62, 110 Eldred St., died yesterday morning at 6:30 o'clock in a nursing home at Amherst following a lingering illness. Funeral services will be tomorrow morning at 10:30 o'clock in the Barden Funeral Home and tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock in Salem Lutheran Church, with the Rev. John Henning officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. The body will be taken to the church after the morning rites.
Mrs. Wirt was born March 19, 1894, in Fisher, Ind., the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Brown. She was married Dec. 28, 1911, in Urbana, Ill., to William Wirt, who survives. The couple had resided here 18 years.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Sylvia Stachovak, 1222 Monroe St., Mrs. Viola Pittsley, 1015 S. 10th Ave., Mrs. Adele Heidemann, 1910 Stewart Ave., and Mrs. Azalia Reckman, Mundelein, Ill.; six sons, Denzil Wirt, 1023 Steuben St., Wayne Wirt, 708 Thomas St., Earl Wirt, Douglas, Ariz., Royal Wirt, Palatine, Ill., Valmon Wirt, Arlington Heights, Ill., and Carroll Wirt, 110 Eldred St.; a half-brother, Bert Chapman, who lives in Illinois; a half-sister, Mrs. Minnie Craw, Three Lakes, and 21 grandchildren.
