FORMER ANTIGO RESIDENT DIES

Miss L. May Dobbs, former Antigo resident, died May 21 in Seattle at the age of 59.

Miss Dobbs was born at Lily on May 22, 1891 and later moved to Bryant where the family lived until 1907. That year they moved to Antigo and Miss Dobbs graduated from the Antigo high school in 1909. She taught in the rural schools of Langlade county until 1911 when her family moved to the state of Washington.

A graduate of the Prince school in Boston, Miss Dobbs was employed for 23 years as an executive at the Fredric Nelson department store in Seattle. She was a member of the Altrusa club of Seattle, Beta Sigma Phi, Seattle philharmonic and Washington Athletic club.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Dobbs Cummings of Tacoma and Mrs. Ivah Dobbs Murray of Medford, Ore., and one brother Thomas Dobbs of Snohomish, Wash.
