Solomon, Harris and Moses Lewis from Mariampole, Lithuania, emigrated in late 1860s to Highland and Linden Wisconsin
Seeking info about Harris, Solomon and Moses Lewis who emigrated to Highland (Harris and Moses) and Linden (Solomon) Wisconsin in late 1860s or early 1870s, and opened "Lewis Bros." store in each town. They emigrated from Mariampole Lithuania which was in conquered territory known as Russia or Russia Poland, or Poland. Solomon, and maybe his two brothers, passed through England on the way to US. Moses was later called John by the townspeople, and may have owned a lead and zinc mine in Mineral Point during WWI. Birthdates of Harris, Solomon and Moses were approx. 1846, 1851 and 1856 respectively. Solomon is my Grandfather. I would especially like to know what the family's surname was in Lithuania. I think it was not Lewis.
